Faculty Training Institute is a leading provider of training courses and related services to organisations across Southern Africa.

We have our own training premises in Cape Town and Johannesburg, but more than half of our business is conducted on-site at our clients, and we use conference facilities in other centres.

Our market niche is  to provide training at the intersection of technology and business, where business value can be unlocked.  Our typical course delegates include business analysts, systems analysts, enterprise architects, project managers and testing specialists. Our value-added services are aimed at helping companies improve capacity in these areas.

Course Portfolio

FTI offers a range of sought-after courses and qualifications, targeting the knowledge professions.

Our Diplomas and Certificate courses, usually part-time from 3-6 months in duration, are intended for the multi-skilled professional in particular roles like business analysis or project management.  They have a rigorous assessment process involving assignments and examinations,  are usually endorsed by the relevant professional bodies, and are highly sought after qualifications.

Our short courses, typically 2-5 full days, are designed to develop competence or mastery in specific focused skill-sets. 

Most courses are available in a variety of public formats. Some programmes are also available on-site and can be scheduled at client convenience (subject to minimum numbers).   Selected specialist courses and services are available on request, or as on-site options only. Course customisation is available through our Professional Services Division.

Professional Services

The mission of FTI Professional Services is to provide value-added services, like coaching, competency assessment, methodology support and job profiling.

We focus on services that will allow client organisations to 

• Develop a mature Community of Practice around critical roles in the Knowledge Economy
• Grow their Organisational Capacity in these roles, especially where these are in short supply
• Derive  greater Return on Investment from their training expenditure

Conferencing & Venues

We have comfortable, well equipped venues in Johannesburg and Cape Town  available for rental to external clients. 

Our configuration is oriented towards workshops and instructor-led facilitation of the kind that FTI has become known for. All venues are equipped with whiteboards, flipcharts and data projectors.  We offer catering and technical support, and some venues are equipped with computers.
