Faculty Training Institute is a leading provider of training courses and related services to organisations across Southern Africa.

We have our own training premises in Cape Town and Johannesburg, but more than half of our business is conducted on-site at our clients, and we use conference facilities in other centres.

Our market niche is  to provide training at the intersection of technology and business, where business value can be unlocked.  Our typical course delegates include business analysts, systems analysts, enterprise architects, project managers and testing specialists. Our value-added services are aimed at helping companies improve capacity in these areas.

FTI was wholly acquired by the EOH group in 2012 and forms part of its Human Capital Management business unit. 

Skills Development Portfolio

FTI offers a range of sought-after courses and qualifications, targeting the knowledge professions.

Our qualifications, usually part-time from 3-6 months in duration, are intended for the multi-skilled professional in particular roles like business analysis or project management.  They have a rigorous assessment process involving assignments and examinations,  are endorsed by the relevant professional bodies (where appropriate), and are highly sought after by our more than 300 client organisations.

Our short courses, typically 2-5 full days, are designed to develop competence or mastery in specific focused skill-sets. 

Most courses are available in a variety of public formats. Some programmes are also available on-site and can be scheduled at client convenience (subject to minimum numbers).   Selected specialist courses and services are available on request, or as on-site options only. Course customisation is available through our Professional Services Division.

Professional Services

FTI Professional Services provides value-added services that assist individuals and organsiations to grow competencies.   Often done in conjunction with our training products, value-added services include coaching, mentoring, competency assessment and leadership development programmes

Conferencing & Venues

We have comfortable, well equipped venues in Johannesburg and Cape Town  available for rental to external clients. 

Our configuration is oriented towards workshops and instructor-led facilitation of the kind that FTI has become known for.

All venues are equipped with whiteboards, flipcharts and data projectors.  We offer catering and technical support, and some venues are equipped with computers.
