Strategic Presentation Skills

Achieve more confidence as a presenter by mastering strategic presentation skills like effective preparation and delivery, making an impact, using appropriate visual aids and building rapport with audiences.

Course Overview

The objective of this programme is to give presenters the skills and techniques for planning and delivering presentations more strategically and confidently. By creating the right impression and impact on audiences, positive outcomes are more likely to be achieved.

On completion of this highly engaging programme, and through practice, you will learn how to identify and understand the needs of audiences, prepare and deliver commanding presentations using PowerPoint and other media, and communicate effectively in a range of situations.

By being more strategic when you present, you will gain your audience’s trust and respect.

Course Objectives:

The minimum measurable outcomes that you can expect as a delegate are:

  • Being able to talk to an audience with more confidence
  • Creating the right impression to inspire respect
  • Using a powerful presentation format to generate buy-in
  • Preparing a talk quickly and effectively to command any situation
  • Delivering any presentation professionally and without the use of notes
  • Developing the confidence to present using various multimedia aids
  • Being comfortable presenting in any of the styles of presentation
  • Preparing effectively for a presentation
  • Creating professional PowerPoint visuals

Course Delivery

Facilitator-led sessions where you will be actively involved in presenting throughout the two days.

You will be individually coached to meet the course objectives.

All exercises and presentations are placed on video for training purposes and for your future reference.

Your presentations will be given to you on a USB drive.

Given the practical nature of the programme, you will be expected to prepare in the evenings for the following day.

Course Assessment

Although there are no formal assessments, such as exams and tests, to earn a certificate of attendance, you are required to:

  • Participate in formative assessments which are conducted during the training through personal one-on-one coaching, questionnaires and observations.
  • Participate in summative assessments which are conducted at the end of the training in the form of exercises and role-plays to test your understanding and the skills developed.
  • Attend two course days

  • Preparing a talk quickly and effectively

  • Thinking on your feet
  • Dealing with ‘Presentation Pressure’
  • Using a range of presentation aids

Course Prerequisites

 No prior experience is required.
