Strategic Growth and Direction of the Business Analysis Profession - Cape Town

Published: 2010-12-02

Presented by Steve Erlank
Managing Director of the Faculty Training Institute, President of the SA chapter of the IIBA® and
Deputy Director for the Europe and Africa region of the IIBA®

Business Analysis is primarily focused on ensuring that new business and IT solutions are fit for purpose and generate real business value. Operating at the intersection of business and technology, the mature, competent business analyst offers organisations the potential to extract real value from its investment in technology.

The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) is a driving force behind the global unification of this profession around a coherent and maturing Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (the BABOK®) and standards for practice and competency. The South African chapter is one of the strongest in the world.

In a time of change, both opportunities and challenges exist, and forward thinking individuals will be factoring the IIBA® and its activities into their career plans, and leading companies will have the IIBA® on their strategic radar screen.
