Crafting Effective
User Stories

This interactive online short course is designed to improve your contributions to project success. You will learn how to craft effective user stories more collaboratively and how to implement the most appropriate requirements workflow.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for Product Owners/Managers, Business/Systems Analysts, Functional Consultants, Scrum Masters as well as other professionals who contribute to Agile requirements.

Course Information

Entry Requirements
You will need:
  • Foundational knowledge of at least one Agile framework, for example: SCRUM, Kanban or XP
  • Access to a PC with microphone and speakers
  • Access to a reliable internet connection of 4MB or above
Delivery and Assessment
We use virtual, face-to-face and facilitator-led webinar training sessions, delivered by Ronak Sanghavi.

Each session is:
  • Scheduled apart to maximize comprehension and to help you manage the workload
  • Delivered using a highly interactive and engaging approach, with the optimal blend of concepts, activities, and class discussions

  • We offer:
  • Optional post-training assessment to help you determine knowledge retention

  • To receive an FTI Certificate of Participation, you will need to:
  • Attend four virtual sessions of three hours each

    • Define entry and exit criteria for User Story Grooming
    • Employ a balanced approach to split User Stories
    • Use the most appropriate structure to document various types of User Stories
    • Write unambiguous, easy to understand User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
    • Leverage collaborative mental models to craft User Stories
    • Suggest optimal requirements workflow on a project
    • Use JIRA to manage User Stories
