Faculty Training Institute (FTI) is looking for a part-time Software Testing Lecturer and course developer. FTI, founded in 1989, is a leading training institute in the disciplines of Business Analysis, Quality Assurance and Testing and Project Management. The position is based in our Sunninghill, Johannesburg offices.
The Software Testing Lecturer, under the direction of the Academic Manager, will be responsible for expanding the FTI Quality Assurance and Testing portfolio and championing the initiative.
The part-time position involves lecturing on both our extended programmes and our short courses. For our full qualifications, lecturing is required over a period of five months. For module one lectures run for three consecutive week days and for subsequent modules lectures run in the evenings (17h00 to 20h30) or on weekends. For our short courses of two to three days, lecturing is required during consecutive week days.
For the course development component, time is left entirely up to the developer, who will only be required to meet completion deadlines.
We are looking for an experienced person with at least five years’ experience in software testing and expertise in SQL Server, Writing Test Cases and Automation Tools. In addition, you need to have experience lecturing or teaching in a seminar environment and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for a person who is passionate about training and development and the testing environment. Experience in developing SAQA qualifications and learnerships will be advantageous.
